Sounds like TML is looking for a FN South Carolina built rifle...parts are still made in the FN plant but now assembled in the old Browning plant in Portugal....lots & lots of M70's SR's start with a "G" after the 'pre 64's that all had CRF features were discontinued. IMO Your 6 digit SR# M70 is an older gun probably built in New Haven CT sometime in the early/mid '90's, and if a CRF is an upper grade rifle. My Push Feed Fwt was built in 1982 before the CRF was re introduced. My 7 digit BACO (Browning Arms Corp) US Made CRF was built & assembled in South Carolina. You can pull the SR# to get a mfg date out of several WW sites.
