Anyone know where I can hunt rabbits or squirrels (prefer rabbits) near Houston? I've been looking all over the place and it seems like they only infest the residential areas where I can't shoot.

Squirrels are pretty plentiful up in the SHNF.

There used to be lots of rabbits. When the crazy liberals put pressure on trappers, they destroyed the small game. I remember a time when you could walk down rail road tracks and rabbits were everywhere, so were quail. Between the fire ants, coyotes and coons, small game does not stand a chance. Once you control the above the small game explodes.

Not surprised. Same reason why California is burning right now. Idiots don’t manage the forests.
