It's been a while since I've seen you. I was up to 236 at my highest....end of 2013 I flipped a switch and said I was going to drop weight and get healthy and I did. I used the Advocare 24 day challenge as a spring board....great little plan and motivator but the supplements honestly had very little to do with my weightlose and continued fitness. At the beginning of 2014 I found running as a way be outside more and not be in a gym and it became my thing. Now I'm at like 182 and run about 40 miles a week and do the T3 bootcamp/HIIT class 2 to 3 days a week. My diet is no where near perfect but I try to be reasonable with what I eat.

I think the supplements are fine but a good diet is better. I don't think they will actually help you get to a next level but can fill in gaps. My favorite supplement is a post workout shake or protein bar...very important to take in something right after a hard workout. I like those because it's not always easy to just whip up a real meal after a workout.

In the end it's all about setting goals, developing a plan, and working hard. Running is great for me but it's not everyone's thing...that's fine...another guy above mentioned OCR racing, there is also mountain biking, as well as other sports. The main thing is you find something you enjoy that makes you get out there and move. Once you do that it all feeds into itself...you want to eat better because you will find you perform better. You'll also have more energy for work and family....so many benefits. Hell half the medical problems out there are a result of unhealthy sedentary lifestyles.

I have been participating in a workout program called camp gladiator. It sounds cheesy, but getting out of the gym setting and working out from a different perspective has provided some great results both physically and mentally. I can get you more info if you interested. Waco has a lot of options, my location preference is Belton.

Camp gladiator is a great program, no shame in it.

Nothing wrong with CG at all other than their price! I was a camper for 2+ yrs and actually enjoyed it. I saw minimal results but never changed my diet. I also hurt my right foot to the point that it will never be the same. Multiple ortho appts have proven that I am injured beyond repair and that is thanks to CG.

CG is a good program. Location preference is key to finding a coach that fits your style and personality. I like the fact it is self paced for the most part but the peer group training concept that is built into it is motivational. All walks and abilities in 1 group.
