We won a youth deer hunt 11-18-17 at Choke Canyon (2 Hunts). Im 7 hours away, and have hunted Red Heads out of Port O'conner in late December and January, with good luck. My question is, how is mid-November at Port Oconner for Ducks? Or is another place better, I just know POC area. And I dont want to pull a boat 7 hours unless we get some shooting in.
And was there damage in the area, reference to getting a hotel room?
Thanks in advance, I have always got good info from this site just checking old post.

If your with a guide they will put you on ducks. Call Brenda Carter at Port O'Conner rentals on POC. Rent #14 Pirates Cove on the water.

There will be plenty of ducks in late November. If you can get out and scout even a little bit you dont need a guide IMO. Good luck on the hunts!

Take your boat and just hit pretty much any shoreline or point for redheads.... Out around Grass Island area is always good. No need in a guide down there if the birds are around.
