7:10 and 5:20, for now. I had it set for 6:20 in the morning and this morning I had a monster crowd of hogs at the feeder. They sucked up the corn and were gone by about 7. I couldn't see to shoot. But...thank goodness a few late sleepers showed up at 7:15, so I got a fat one for the freezer.

Why would you get in a stand to hunt pigs in the summer. I hunt from the truck with a go light and an A/C during the summer.

because on Ft Hood you can't use a spot light from a vehicle or shoot from a truck

According to our game cam just now, doesn't really matter. They move best at dusk and dawn. The dawn time is most important so as it gets later, it should not be dark when it goes off. That's why we do 7 and 4 to 4:15 and leave it. But our hog feeders we adjust year round.

Just backed my pm time 6:00 and reduced the throwing time to 2 seconds for the corn is piling up due to all of the acorns.
Will bump it back up when they are hammering it again.

7 and 4. However, due to having way too many pigs, I'll discontinue afternoon feeding about November 1.

Currently, 0715 and 1700, five second cycle, 1800 for 2 second cycle. This is very close to 55 lbs per 7 days, acorns not an issue in my part of the country. I should be able to leave these times in place until later in the season.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I love these posts. Ours are presently set for 8am and 5:30PM. Clock is set for current time 8:22AM as I type this. Far south Texas. After the time change, we'll be feeding at 7am and 4:30PM.

There is no need to change your feeding times, nor your clock with this method.

Sure there is especially if your hunting hogs in the off season. I want my feeder to go off right at shooting light and an 1-1 1/2 hours before dark during the summer when I'm hunting hogs to limit the amount of time I got to be in the heat waiting.

I don't hunt in the summer. And I darned sure don't hunt hogs from our deer stands. Tripod away from deer stands and tailgate feeder...if I just have to kill something. No need to change my times because we only deer hunt from those stands.

Throwing corn when your targeted game are not moving is basically feeding the birds, squirrels and racoons and that is why I constantly change my feeder time and duration, so far so good up

Depends on time of year and intended game.
I use the intelligent eye versions on deer feeders as they change time automatically with the season.
Only change to these is duration of throw - less off season, more during season.

For pig feeders, since I have NV, I usually set the feeder for 8PPM, 10PM and midnight.

7a.m. & 5p.m. CST. I don't adjust for daylight savings.

X2

My 7am throw is 7 pounds of protein from the Lamco and then 7:15am (about the time the protein is consumed) I throw the corn for 15 seconds.

10 second 5pm throw of corn and no protein
