I see this on alot of packages and people say they do but at the end of the day if I shoot both side by side I almost always notice at least a 2" difference at 30 yards or more. The Rage p+ or +p which ever it is I'm currently using at the advice of a good friend. Any one else got a better head?

look at tuning your bow.
I shoot wasp jackhammers and rocket sidewinders and they fly to the same POI as field tips
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

This. Bows tuned and the arrow matched to it will fly the same. The combination pf poorly tuned bows and arrows not matching the setup sure have sold lots of mechanical broadheads. Like a friend said years ago after rage TV ad with their slogan that included flys like a field tip. "What are they doing? Promoting not having to tune your bow or match spine" Not only will broadheads and field tips fly to the same place from a properly tuned setup but th arrow will penetrate deeper if all the energy is directed straight behind the broadhead

I like mechanicals due to the wide cutting diameter not to get out of tuning my bow

Well I'm very new to bow hunting, this is the first year I've actually ever done it, so thanks for the tips. There is a pro shop not far from me.

Make sure it's a good bowshop
My wife bought me a new bow a few weeks ago from a "pro shop" here in town. We could not get it to tune.
What they suggested did not sound right and their suggested fix would have voided the warranty.
I rescued the bow and took it to another shop here in town and after returning it to factory specs had it tuned within 3-4 shots
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

It's On Target Archery near me in Canton. They have a pretty good reputation as far as I know.

From what I have heard and seen you will be in good hands at on Target. One of these days I am going to have to pay them a visit.

It's On Target Archery near me in Canton. They have a pretty good reputation as far as I know. I have had some very good experiences at that shop. You will be in good hands Not to negate your abilities, or anyone else's, but as a new shooter I would caution you on shooting at animals beyond the 30 yard mark. You will find that field shooting is much different than targets. I have been shooting for over 25 years and won't shoot at a Texas deer over 30 yards. Take my advice for what it is worth As far as broadheads, there are a lot of good ones and everyone has an opinion. I despise O-rings and want simple and efficient. I like spitfires, but there are many good ones. Good luck

I know it may cause some to roll their eyes, but I've had really good luck with the Rage head over the years. I like "0" rings simply because in low light removing arrows from a quiver I don't have to worry about blades coming un_tucked from where they are supposed to be. It's all about personal choice, and having used them with success under actual hunting conditions where you gain confidence in a certain brand.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Spitfire's worked well for me in the past but they seemed to drop a little once I get out past 30 yards. I went back to using my recurve bow for a long time and used Magnus glue on broad heads on my arrows. I use G5 Montec 125gr crossbow broadheads with my crossbow and will probably use them when I get back to using my compound for hunting next year. They are a good fixed blade broad head. I had the Rage crossbow mechanical broadheads open up twice on me while ranging in my MXB-360 crossbow. The collars were all on correctly and they were new collars. I bought a lot of the extra collars and made sure that they were the crossbow collars. I also made sure that they were not clogged up with target material after each shot. So now they sit in my archery tackle box. I will probably give them all to one of my buddies who can use them out of their compound bow. But if I ever went back to mechanical broadheads for my Mathews then I would go with the Spitfire's again. Never had a problem with them and got a pretty good blood trail with them in the past.
