We ranged several items in view at my place this past weekend and wrote them down in my blind.

For bow hunting I have painted rocks and placed them to match the yardage pins.

Have orange flagging tape tied to the trees at 100 and 200yds, I'm not shooting any farther, especially since I moved both pens to 100yds!

I don't do a range card to that detail, but I do write verified ranges to prominent features over the windows of each stand. Every now and then I'll throw in a joke, like "78 yards to cow." I'll get asked, "What's that mean?" Me: "Dammit, she moved again?!?"

edited to add: Cows are terrible land marks...

edited again: There's a HF game ranch just west of my place, so in a stand that faces west I have a marker, "37.5 miles to 140+ buck" with the number of the ranch manager next to it.
