Hit a deer this morning and I can't find it. Need a tracking dog near San Angelo. Know if any good ones?

I think he is still doing it, but Matt 325-456-0773 was great to deal with.

Think Troop is out of Brownwood. Too far for me to get out there with my dog.

We really need to start another thread about this here is the old one but sure there are some that are out of commission but doesn't hurt to look through it perhaps find someone.

Best of luck finding that deer! Stay out of the area until the dog gets there. Don't want to push the buck or put down any more scent than you already have.

Sorry guys, a very long day yesterday. I got Rio Concho Kennels out at 1:30 and we looked until 5:30. Picked the trail up again and and followed it for another couple hundred yards...then lost it again after two really good puddles of blood. We finally gave up at 5:30 and a total of 785 yards of blood trail! I found my arrow with over 12" of penetration, right in the vitals with the Rage Hypodermic...I'll probably be switching to a fixed broadhead. I've shot three animals with them and two of them now have led to blood trails beyond 400 yards - I recovered the last and it had only got a single lung. Shooting VAP Elites with the 95gr. shok point which are the deepest penetrating arrows on the market. Very disappointing day. Rio Concho Kennels did a great job though, stuck it out and gave it all they had to find it!

Very sorry to hear that. Sounds like you and RCK gave it your best.

Yep, we'll be out there in a couple days and that's the primary reason.

Sucks but it happens. I hit one high with a 300 WSM several years ago and we tracked it 1.25 miles. Neighbor had pics of him in February on a game camera and two years later he showed up at my feeder.
