I'm thinking about downsizing one of my boats- (20ft all weld mod-v, no motor) and using that money to get a bit smaller boat, maybe a 15 or 16ft. I'm looking to use the money from the sale of boat one to get second boat and some more gear. What do yall think I can get for the 20ft boat so I can get a good size boat plus gear?

Every boat owner I ever met wishes he/she had bought a bigger boat. Get a 90 HP 4 cyle motor and put it on the 20 footer

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

It's a center console and I want to get something a little better for hunting out of. That console gets in the way and I usually hunt me and two buddies out of it. Not against keeping the same length but need a better layout.

It's hard to say without seeing the boat I guess. 20 ft all weld is worth good money. So no moter but on a trailer in decent condition I'd say 3 or 4K

imo, you will have a difficult time selling for much of anything, to rig a 20' out the way it should be is quite expensive.

hold on Newt, we got a runaway

Gotta answer these questions first... How far of a ride do yall have to the blind? Is it open water? River? Mud?

What is the width of the 20ft and who makes it?

Duracraft 2060. Do a bit of everything, but no mud and nothing where we're going 30 miles up a river.

30 miles? if i was traveling 30 miles, i would be driving a console with a 90hp...or find a closer ramp lol

but just from the little research i have done you would get from 3-5k depending on the year the boat is...

IMO, i would keep it...slap a big motor on there, and find you a little 16ft with a 25 for about 3-4K

I would not get into a smaller boat either if you are that far. Can you ditch the boat and get out and hunt once to your spot? If shallow water hunting thats what I would do...and in fact thats how we roll (hunt) But if your in deeper water then I see the need to stay in the boat.

I'm not going that far. I'd say max I go is 10 miles, and that's when I'm hunting somewhere in the bay. And it does have a center console.

So in truth I was looking at buying this boat, I figured the motor was bum and as it turns out it's in decentish working condition. Got a freaking fantastic deal on the two together, though I'm probably going to swap the motor for something a little smaller and a bit newer. Now the next month will be spent turning this thing in to a duck hunting machine.....

Why not be truthful from the start?
