Went deer hunting this past weekend but not much going on. I've had this sal and her overgrown piglets visiting the feeder for the past few months. Decided to sit Saturday night and see if they came in. They came in an hour after dark. Decided to take the sal and one of the overgrown piglets in a double head shot. We'll the 30-06 connected and dropped both of them. The sal was pregnant with ten piglets and about a week or so from giving birth. She weighed in at 250lbs with her nose still on the ground so add a few lbs to that weight. This is the second sal I've shot int the 250lb range and have seen some bigger.the younger sal was about 100lbs or so. Graphic images below!!!

the ones he posted 'should' taste like tender pork as they looked 'formed' and about
ready to drop

I've tried some 'fetuses' before thinking they'll be tenderloins but not the case

they taste like very soft cartilage, falls apart easily ..... definitely not worth trying next time
