I'm sitting in my stand and over 30 turkeys show up! Arg! Then some of them start heading to my second feeder so I decided to head them off, the feeders haven't gone off, it's windy and no deer in sight, so I climbed down out of my stand and move to intercept...they take off...get back in my stand and another group starts heading this way...step out and wave my arms and they take off back to the feeder....the heck with this...I climb down and move toward my feeder...they all take off except two. They are in my pen running back and forth back and forth and all of a sudden one finally remembers how she got in and flaps her wings and is free but the other one....still running back and forth back and forth.

I wish I could ever find a turkey come turkey season. Sounds like a good problem to me.

Not during deer season...they will wipe out the corn in five minutes and in my experience they just keep on eating when you shoot one of them.

I have a coworker with a lease somewhere in San Angelo. Hope you keep the turkeys at bay and get some tasty venison this season.

Turkeys can be a pain when you want deer. It is amazing how fast 30 turkeys can clean up corn under a feeder. I do a lot better in the morning when it comes to turkey interference. Our turkeys like to sleep late.
