Looking to get a new rifle, and can't make up my mind. What are your thoughts?

Excuse any misspelled words, as typing on my phone smile

You at least have to give a look at the Tikka CTR if you're in that price range unless you're dead set on a chassis.

I voted for the RPR just because I had one and it was a great shooting rifle. But for $500 less money the Stealth should be just as good. All the savage rifle I have shoot just as well.

They all should work well it just comes down to personal preference and availability. Enjoy it when you get it.

what weight you looking for, what purpose is rifle for? you want a boat anchor and something to hunt with?

WHAT'S YOUR BUDGET??? remember you are going to have to spend AT LEAST 1K on optics. Or stay home.

Forget the Ruger, Savage . If you go Ruger there are a million for sale on various forums.

shop Europtics.com too. They usually have in stock where Whitakers is not.

I hate questions like this, so vague when you give "OTHER" as a choice

I just purchased a Bergara b-14 in 6.5. Based on a rem 700 action, it has the best out of the box trigger I have ever touched...also, the stock does not feel like a production gun stock either. Might take a look at them.

I vote for Chad's 'other'. He had a stainless T3 rebarreled (20 inch) and tuned up for me. Breathtaking accuracy.

That's a good point. If you're in the price range of an RPR, then Chad's Tikka with a Bartlein barrel would be incredibly difficult to beat for the $.

I picked up my Bergara B-14 yesterday. And I really like it. You can see it on my post.

I think we need to change the name of the forum to the "Tikka Hunting Forum" for all the guy's that love'em on here. They are good rifles though!

I just refuse to support Beretta USA after the dealings I've had with them years ago when I wanted a LH Tikka that they wouldn't allow me to order, even though it was a cataloged Tikka rifle.
