One deer with lump jaw captured by cam. Is it some kinds of diseases we should worry about? Should we get rid of it asap? Will the venison still be consumable? Thanks.

Have heard it is usually an impacted tooth or an abscess. The meat should be fine. I have shot a few like that and we ate them and I don't have a lump or anything on my jaw lol.

Put some antibiotics in the food, good in no time. Maybe a couple pain killers to make her happy

Talk to your local GW and he will let you shoot it without using your tags and get the biologist to take samples to make sure the rest of the herd dont have any problems in the future... good luck
