I posted this in the exotic section but thought it may get more traction here.

We have a place in East Texas that we just put up a HF on and we are still wanting to do food plots on them. We are currently working on a plan to build small temp fences around them to keep the animals from hammering them until they are established. I wanted to see if any one else has experiences with keeping animals off the plots until they are ready and how they handled it?

edit: Sorry, there are Axis, Fallow, Blackbuck and a few sheep on the property.

Either a double fence or an electric fence. If you can, break plots into 2 sections to allow deer to feed on half while the rest matures.
