Poptart warmed up inside my jacket pocket and a thermos full of black coffee. I do the same, Strawberry Poptart no icing with my thermos of coffee in the blind. Leave the blind around 10-30 go back to the trailer and reheat a precooked breakfast or cook up a fresh one

When I was on a lease, it was a main dinner the night before with the whole camp, usually steak and any other main course type thing, then a late breakfast the opener when guys rolled in, then you where on your own. Kind of the same when group hunting in Colorado. Since I hunt my own small place, it's coffee, bathroom and head out and now having a camper for Colorado, it's coffee, bathroom and head out

I'm too busy enjoying hunting to worry about eating and eating is the last thing I need to be doing anyways. I do pop tarts or some sort of microwave food for breakfast. I hunt till lunch and eat a sandwich or something else simple. I may or may not nap an hour or so and I'm back hunting until dark. I throw a steak or something grill-able on the grill, eat, shower and go to bed. Rinse and repeat the next day.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Our main lease/camp is in SW Taylor county just outside Shep. This year, our LO made more property available to us so my son and I will be hunting property in Coke county just outside Tennyson. From camp to pasture, it's 35 miles so 70 round trip. The plan is to just stay put and hole up in a barn in Tennyson during the day. That being said, I don't want to go thru the trouble to cook for just the 2 of us. We usually have a huge breakfast/brunch after the morning hunt but it doesn't make sense considering the situation. So, we'll be trying the café on main street in Bronte (and the famous Allsups burritos) for breakfast this year.

I hate going to town. Show up at my place around 10am and you'll get plenty to eat, Archer co is a little far from Coke co though. Chicken fried somethin with fixins and gravy or sausage and egg tacos is how we roll. What part of Archer are you in? I'm right on the Young/Archer line.

I started making breakfast burritos at home for everyone on Thursday night or Friday morning to eat after the Sunday hunt so we don't have to cook and clean up. Just warm on the grill.

If I do go into town, Murn's Cafe in Archer City. The Cowboy Breakfast (Chicken fried steak and eggs) is pretty tough to beat!
