On Whitetail sized critters they seem pretty good, have seen a few mixed reviews on elk with pictures of broken blades.

Shot a blackbuck doe with a trypan Saturday. 446 gr total arrow, 277 fps.
Broke 3 ribs on the way in. 3 ribs on the way out, and didn't make it through the offside shoulder. She went 10 steps and died.
Wasn't terribly impressed with the penetration, but the wound channel was huge.

Kmon, regarding using these things on elk (and bigger critters)... do you think the blades bend after the arrow stops penetrating? If an elk runs off with one of these things stuck in the shoulder, I'm guessing the stress on the blades is far greater than what the blades experience before that huge critter starts running off with a stick in his body

Not sure where they broke off as I did not see them or examine the elk. I didn't ask that question and wish I had.
