I ended up getting a German Shepherd a few weeks ago, she is really smart and has a decent nose. I was thinking about what i could use her for besides a family pet, and I think I could make her into a blood trailing dog, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with German Shepherds and trailing and if it was worth it in the end?

They have the nose and the size and often the drive to catch a wounded deer. Police use them for drug dogs all the time though belgins are prob a bit more popular now.

As always its going to be a LOT easier of she is from a working line not a show line... but the long and short of it is yeah she could male a fine blood dog

Sombody smells like fried borritos...

I appreciate the information, I ended up getting her pretty much free and I am not sure what kind of line she is from. I'll keep working her on some trails and hope it works out.
