Anyone else wonder why there is only one place to apply to? Garner? I know I have seen some axis and some nice axis bucks there but not in enough numbers.. I have 14 points and dont want to waste them on Garner which has low success for exotics, but why has the state gone to only one hunt area for this category... wish I could buy a point.

Your right about the preference point. It would be nice to buy one. What I have done on the past was to apply with people with no points perferably a youth (so it does cost anything). That will help reduce your odds of being drawn. But there is no guarantee that you will not be drawn. I have been requesting preference point only choice every time they send me a survey on the public hunt program.
