Curious on what the age consensus is here.
I was thinking 4-4.5

Thanks,

This guy is older, in the shooter class deer for sure. See how his neck line in the firs tpick is below the shoulder musculature, see how his neck has rolls of skin waiting to be filled out from years of past, his knees are knobby and his feet are low toward the dew claws. He has a filled out rump and his posture just almost has an older man posture with the stiff back and hips and just doesn't feel like it will walk completely upright....all subtle hints he has gotten older.

He isn't an ancient deer yet, would place him in the mature group, and that's about as good as I can do it...

of course, based on yesterday, I am sure there will be some disagreement with my assessment roflmao

Agree Texas buckeye. Older buck I'm thinking 5+ based on these two photos. Although antler mass is light.

Looks like he already busted the end of the right main beam off.

He is built a lot like a 5 year old in his prime but I bet he is 6. I bet in another month he will start to show it a little more.
