Doc's in Carrollton can build anything you want from scratch and is not just a gun mechanic. Ron

You want the best..or ???
I understand Frank Smith has come out of retirement and has set up a small shop down around the ranch in Commanche County. Frank was the S&W/Colt and et all factory warranty guy for a very long time out of the Plano store. Several folks around I would not let even my Ex Friends use ... Last guy who worked on my only S&W, a pin barrel M60 became the Sheriff of Upshur County and closed the store...
Larry Pockrus is a good guy for everyday repairs but you specified a S&W Gunsmith...there's another good pistol guy at the tiny store in Denison around the corner from the Goodwill store that most of the Grayson County LEO's use, north of 503 about a mile and south of downtown at the curve who's name escapes me...limited hours as the owner is still full time at the Quikset lock mfg' er. Papa had owned the big gun store downtown across the street from the Popo Station ...ask Cliff at Best Pawn in Sherman for directions as the guy is related family. Ron

Yes, I saw he was in Comanche now.
May give 1911 Academy a call, they re-finish also. I did find a place in Alabama who would send me a free mailing label. They will do action job and hard chrome finish.

All you need to know is go gambling.
Friendly drive to Shreveport.
Few miles farther east to Princeton, LA. Drop gun with people at Clarks.
