Domestic Supervision issued a directive that
Old Glory be flying for Memorial day.
The Committee Of Procrastination & Cheapassedness
began the project with an afterthought stop at the
most convenient big box home improvement store and
found a very limited and poorly constructed selection
of turnkey options from wall mounted (which had been
ruled out by decree) and only 1 in ground pole option
which required digging, gravel and sand base topped
with concrete at a cost of $130 not including gravel,
sand and concrete. The committee rejected this option.
With failure not being an option a quick tour of various
store aisles brought ideas forth that ended in the
chainlink fence section.
