Sat on the back porch drinking coffee this morning. The dove are coming across in waves.

The cold front is pushing them down. I could have made limit in 5 minutes. Id say if you are located from Abilene North it is a sick day. (Call in sick) Grab a gun, get a kid out of school, and hit the field today. Thesee type of opportunities are rare.

You are welcome. cheers

It's a weird year guys. Like I said a week ago, there are birds up here along the red river. They are heavy in milo and sunflower, but not congregating in any one spot.

Opening weekend we saw birds, but most were too far out.

Thus morning, they were flying through by the thousands. We don't usually see this until late September early October in these parts. Again, weird year but may end up being a really good one.

Pretty decent front coming. It's pretty cool to see a migration like that. I have a few times but they are about a mile high. We'll see this weekend.

True. I've taken off work several times since the early 80s when it happens. Pretty special to get to see it. I've never seen them move like this when it's still this warm.

They were swarming my pond about an hour after sun up this morning. Guess they were filling their tanks so to speak for their trip.
