Glad I have a good eye. Dogs and in laws having a jolly time 3 ft away from our garage door. They were sharing the grass with this dude.

Great, . . . Killing a single rattlesnake will result in the propagation of more than 180,000 rodents in the next ten years.

*** Y'all better start killing ALL Bees, Hornets, and Wasps, and you are 9X more likely to die from a sting from one of those Hymenopteras as you are any old rattlesnake.

Avg. # Deaths in USA from rattlesnake = 6

Avg. # Deaths in USA from Bees, Hornets, and Wasps = 53

I'll bet you are a blast to hang out with at the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup.

it's a rattle snake and it legal to kill it. If you don't want to kill them then don't but I kill all of them I see bc I like collecting their rattles and throwing their bodies in the bushes.

Killed one less than 75 yards from the house. Had one button, less than 12" long. Almost stepped right on the little sucker. One of my kids gets hit by one of those and we've got a significant problem!!! He is no longer a threat, however I am certain he has siblings around. I'll kill everyone of them that I encounter!

2.5 feet. One button, it barely had enough to rattle. It only rattled when I started beating it's head in with a 2×4.

I kill all bees, hornets, and wasps as well. I've never heard of a mouse killing someone. I'd rather be bit by a mouse.

"I'd rather be bit by a mouse."

*Just hope that mouse that bites you does not carry the black-legged tick.

*** Biologists found that rattlesnakes, which prey on mice and other small mammals, help check humans' exposure to the tick-borne Lyme disease. Feeding on mice and other small mammals, an adult male timber rattlesnake consumes 2,500 to 4,500 of the black-legged ticks that carry Lyme disease each year.

* Rat bites and scratches can result in disease and rat-bite fever. Rat urine is responsible for the spread of leptospirosis, which can result in liver and kidney damage. It can also be contracted through handling or inhalation of scat. Complications include renal and liver failure, as well as cardiovascular problems.

* Rats and mice are known to spread more than 35 diseases. These diseases can be spread to humans directly, through handling of live or dead rodents, through contact with rodent feces, urine, or saliva, and through rodent bites.

I have never known anyone being bitten by a mouse. I know several people who have been bitten by snakes though. All rattlers need their heads cut off.

I killed 2 in our camp Fri and Sat night right after dark. They don't belong in camp with kids walking around. My son saw one and warned me right before I was going to step on it. They will die in camp period. I wear snake boots too at all times. I leave them alone over 200 yards away but not in camp.

What's the Avg. price for treatment from a bee sting and a rattlesnake? A little Benadryl at home Vs Hospital stay with antivenin? Which one hurts more?

Screw that! If people or pets are around and could get nailed it's a no brainer. Kill every one! Gonna feel like father of the year when your little princess gets drilled reaching down for a ball or something. You getting rid of all you come across on your land won't hurt the snake population one bit. This is crazy talk confused2
