Fun night!! We got off to a bit of a rough start not getting video on the first hog that turned out to be in really bad shape. You usually don't see a sow by herself unless he is about to give birth or has recently given birth (still with piglets in nest), but this one was alone, and so she will remain. She was limping when we shot her (could not determine why) and was skin and bones. She had some weird coffee colored discoloration around many of her bones and particularly along her spine. Her skin was thin like that of a deer. Picked up three more hogs with two good stalks before getting on a very large sounder. Actually, there were two and a lot more hogs, but it took us nearly 20 minutes to make the stalk and a bunch had disappeared, but still leaving quite a few. Kudos to Dave for making an impressive 186 yard headshot and I came away with the largest hog of the evening @ 270 lbs.

Well done, AGAIN! How far "North" is North Texas? For us here around Mason, anything north of Brady is "north." Other folks think you got to get north of Brownwood before you can call it "North." And hunters in Lubbock think you're not really north until you get north of them! Give us a latitude to work with, please!!

North Texas? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Texas http://www.texascounties.net/statistics/regions.htmNearly all of our hunting is farther north than Lubbock is.
