I have a McRee Precision chassis in 700 SA that is screaming for a barreled action. If one was to build this with accuracy and distance in mind what SA caliber would you suggest?

7mm-08 Ackley Improved loaded with 162 gr ELD-X.
I will be load testing the second one of the year, tomorrow. The last one (owned by Okie Dokie) pushed that bullet at 2670 fps MV on virign brass. Once the brass is formed into A.I. brass, knocking on the door of 2800 fps MV is not going to shock me.
It is THE most performance once can squeeze out of a standard length short action cartridge in my educated opinion.

^^That cartridge is real close to being a 6.5-284. But it ain't gonna hang with the 7.
