I have been feeding protein (Double Down) and set up a 300 gal. water dispenser for the first time this year. I estimate the buck in the foreground to be 3 years old. He was at the water trough. Two other bucks at the feeder. I am seeing some results, for sure!

I have a low fence ranch. I have always fed corn and the ranch has no water. Protein food and water are BOTH new adds. Experiment? To see if the new food/water set up would improve the herd and bring more animals to the feeders. IMO, the "Experiment" was successful.
I thought that was obvious from the picture and post. Sometimes you have to go into detail that I find unnecessary. Guess I was wrong..

I didn't understand what the experiment was until you explained it, either.

And the picture doesn't make anything obvious to me without something to compare it to.

At any rate, Booner just asked a question. He wasn't being rude. You were, though.

At this point, there are 35 views of this thread. Only 2 (so far) were unable to understand the post, as written (Booner and Sneaky).
I went into more detail to make it clear to those that needed help. In what way was that rude??

You didn't say anything about the place not having another water source so your "big hint" wasn't all that big.

So your big "experiment" was to see if deer like to eat and drink! up

Yep you were wrong...saying you did a test without explaining the test and/or providing before and after pics is pretty much worthless to anyone reading your post. As for the pic for it to carry meaning people need to see what that deer looked like before the test.

I didnt get it either and I would imagine quite a few others didnt as well. Most of which probably just didn't care enough to ask.

Many thanks for the free advice on how to conduct an experiment. I now have a complete understanding of what to include and how much info is required to make my posts easy to understand.
FWIW, the "grainy" picture exists because the original would post so small that it would take a magnifying glass to see any detail.
Clear now?

Looks good! I have been thinking about trying Double Down Protein and adding some water dispensers closer to the feeders. I would like to see your water dispenser set up.
