Hello-

Recently did my first Texas hunting trip and loved it! I want to go back for a Whitetail hunt. Needs to be low fence/free range. Also I do not care about shooting a monster, rather something with a good chance of a decent buck and will not kill the bank account. Any suggestions of places to look at? Hoping to find something within 2 hours of dallas, houston or san antonio airports. Thanks

You've gotta tell your budget to get any useful leads. And whats your idea of a decent buck? 120s...140s?

Agree here, several good options but budget, quality of deer, LF or HF.. all matter for the best recommendation

Hello- Hoping to do low fence/fair chase. I am not picky, any size buck is fine. Just like seeing deer. Hoping something under 2500?

Our WT hunts are $2500. 3 nights lodging, meals, guides included for 2 full days of hunting. This is on 10,500 free range acres that borders the Norias Division of the King Ranch. About a 2 hour drive from Corpus Christi or we provide airport pickup if you fly into Harlingen. The deer we are targeting is any mature deer not to exceed about 150". Bring your camera for the ones you see that are bigger than that. Not only will you see an abundance of whitetail, but we have an extremely large population of Nilgai, Oryx, and Water Buck. Very unique to see game like this on a low fence property. Please let me know of any questions whatsoever, thanks in advance.

I just had an archery hunt with woodsonhunter last weekend but he does rifle as well. Justin has a low fence set up that is a few thousand acres and it has some amazing deer. He does trophy hunts for $2500 and management for $1250. Each time in the stand we had multiple great bucks come through. He has game cam pics on some of his other posts and I have quite a few from last weekend's hunt

My wife's family has a ranch outside of Meridian. Not sure of their prices but should be less expensive than south texas. Called Buxton Ranch

Sorry, and not to be a know-it-all, but Buxton is going to charge significantly more that $2500. Plus it is high-fenced breeder facility. Guessing the hunts start somewhere around $12-15K, but I could be wrong. Great accommodations though!

Update - sorry, looked at their website. Says they start at $3500 and go up to $15k
