took a nice boar last night with the 338 federal using 200 gr bullets
60 yard shot didn't stand a chance!
think this will be my new go to killing machine
16 in Wilson combat barrel crux 338 can thermal
will try to figure how to upload this pic

Congrats, I shot a few with my 14.7" Wilson Combat 338 Federal. Just wish I had a suppressor that fit the 338.

it is sweet... I wished my barrel was shorter but ill get use to it. 95% of the time ill be in the stand hunting. mine is 16 in setup

I saw great results with Federal's power shok (blue box) ammo I reloaded a good bunch of Speer 200 gr HotCor over H335 in Starline brass It's effective too, here is a 180lb boar from last night Gun is running a 16 " midlength Wilson Combat barrel - you can't beat it for the price !

Very nice!!! 338 Federal in an AR for thumping pigs is a great combo!!! cant wait to see the damage on a yote 338 Federal isn't going to give you significant exit wounds unless you shoot a fragile bullet through a lean animal. What it does do is mess up the internals real good (energy dump) and stop'em dead in their tracks This coyote was shot at 30 yards with 200 grain HotCor I've seen more remarkable exit wounds from faster lighter bullets - like 6.5 Grendel
