This is a great small hunting property located about 3 miles north of the Leon County line and Buffalo with easy access off I-45. Thanks, and yes, it's amazing to see how the lack of hunting pressure on all that mine land over all the years it was active has transformed the deer herd in the area. This was a buck that was on my old place across the mine area only about 3/4 of a mile from this tract I am selling.....definitely an above average deer for Freestone County. That is a mine haul road right behind him and didn't seem to bother him a bit.

Also, the gas well/pad that is on the property is no longer producing (stopped in November 2016) and is shut in. I don't have a definite timeline for when it will be removed, but should not be a long term deal.
