Until late sept and Oct #8 is all I want to shoot. Where I hunt the birds are close and plentiful. I got all my sons and buddies on 8's also. And all of them shooting Remington heavy dove loads.


I'm a #8 fan too. I only have mourning doves in my area and would shoot 7.5 if white wings were around.

I really like 3.25 Dram 7.5 1 1/8 oz for anything upland here in Texas.

Cheapest 7 1/2 I can find... Remington, fed, rio, Winchester whoever puts the best deals out before season
