Hello All,
I've been stalking the forum for quite some time but I figured it was time to join in on the conversations. Any of you guys hunt in Brady? I've been out there for about 4 years now. Our property doesn't produce many monsters but we've been on a protein program for about 2 years. So I'm hoping to see some results in the next few years.
Planning on heading out to check feed and cameras in a few weeks. Hopefully, I'll have some nice pics to share!
I look forward to a great hunting season.

 Welcome aboard! Are you from that area or do you travel to hunt? I'm in Lubbock but hunt in Mills county, grew up in Goldthwaite.

Welcome! My ranch is in Val Verde county, this is our first year of trying protein (Doubledown). We are already seeing good results.

I live in Allen (North Dallas) so it's about a 4 hour drive for me. I try to make it down there at lease once a month in the off season. I go almost every weekend during rifle season.

@ DH3 - We've been using some pellets from the local feed store (not sure of the brand). It's hard to say of the larger bodies and bigger racks are the result of the feed program or the better range conditions (the first year we were there was the end of the drought). Most likely a combo of the two.
I would consider our place a meat hunters paradise at this point but we're working on it.

 This is one of my better bucks from last year. Almost had a shot on him then the damn hogs came in and he bolted. I put a hog fence up this year!

No hunting in Brady for me, but it sure is beautiful country down there. I've spent some time in Mason digging up topaz.
