Every time we go out west to our place I let my gsp run. And it only seems that this is happening at my place. Her foot pads will crack and her paws on the bottoms will be tender. Looks almost like peeling away a scab when u have tender fresh skin underneath. Anyway to prevent this?

Tuf Foot pad conditioner works well to harden my dog's feet.

My hard running trial dogs of the past were kept on screenings. Kept their feet tough. I roaded them on gravel roads also. Never had a slipped pad on any of them. Nails stayed trimmed just right too.

These boots were destroyed hunting on mostly rock and cactus over three days in the Big Bend area. Imagine how beat up and sore my dog's feet would have been without them.
