When I used to hunt teal in south east texas we would just use both....and still get ate up but less so. Thermacells are great though and deet/bug spray is just kind of nasty and messy....can actually melt the paint off a dipped gun too!

The Thermacell works great as long as you are near it. I usually attach it to the Momarsh dog blind or bucket so it keeps my perimeter clear.

Just make sure you have a gud story ready when the local wardens show up an asks her for her hunting license if she does not have one!

years ago a buddy of mine almost went to jail with a altercation with a GW near the Brady area, think she had plenty of cleavage showing on a hot day!

Hey, keep it simple!

Gun, dog, chair, water for pup, and hunters, rest is a waste of money! good camera to record your memories when pup departs your hunting life style.

Sure miss my old gal of 11 1/2 yrs.
