Going out to dinner tonight. Already looked at the menus. I plan to order an oyster poor boy. It comes dressed with tarter sauce. I plan to order mine with red sauce aka catsup and horseradish.
Is it tarter or red sauce for you?

I prefer my poboys to come with a remoulade sauce on the bread, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce on the side. There's a little more to cocktail sauce than just horseradish and ketchup.

wish I could but I can't eat oysters any longer ... got food poisoning bad 40 some odd years ago and just can't eat em any fashion without getting overly nauseated (have tried but no way no how)... give me any other type of seafood though ... tartar on some, red sauce on others ... heck even mix tartar & red sauce (double dip) is pretty good on most.

It was delicious. As good as I've had in New Orleans. They gave me a dozen medium sized oysters, and an order of super sized fries. I didn't eat the bread. I just savored the oysters and fries one at a time. A couple could make a meal out of just one sandwich.
Beer was half priced. I'll go back.

I like the red for cold boiled, or shrimp cocktail. Tartar for the fried(my favorite)

As long as there is fish, shrimps or crab I'll never have to eat an oyster.

The Acme Oyster Bar was my favorite. Mostly for the ambience. You could get them almost anywhere.

Red sauce on my catfish po`boys, but heavy on the mayo for oysters (with lots of pickles).

Where is this place at? On 1463 about a mile south of Katy, or 1-10 that is.
