Anybody ever hunted with 3 Curl Outfitters? What's your experience? I am thinking about getting a dove lease with them.

I have both a duck and dove lease through them. Charles and Brett are very easy to work with and honest in my opinion. More than happy to endorse them.

If you are not busy tomorrow, you should go to the Fort Worth Hunters extravaganza event, I believe they will have a booth there so you can meet them in person.

I have leased corporate dove leases from Brett personally, hands down a great guy and organization!

Never actually hunted with him but I have spent quite a bit of time
around him thru a fishing tournament he managed. He is a very professional, honest, and fair man. I recommend doing business with him.

We leased a duck lease this year with them and also a dove lease, no complaints . Season hasn't started, but they are very friendly and seem like good guys. I couldn't find anything bad when we were looking at them

In the past three years I have hunted with 3Curl multiple times for guided duck hunts and had an excellent time. Never done a lease with them though. Bret and Charles have been nothing but honest and good dudes to hunt with in my experience.

Hope it works out for you.

They have many different areas but they are mostly south of the DFW area. Anybody know if there are good dove numbers just south of DFW?

Yesterday I counted 150 in Venus on my lease from 3Curl. Weather may have pushed them out, but it was great to see!

I don't know them personally but have reached out to them several times about their leases and they are always very responsive. Just remember, if you sign up on one of their leases or a guided hunt...if you don't have a great hunt or your season dove lease isn't as you had hoped...it's not always the outfitters fault. It could be the season, or even just you being at the property or on a hunt on the wrong day. It's just the way hunting goes sometimes. I don't believe they are out to "get people." They have some leases which appear to be better than others (very normal) but you should do your own research and personal assessment of the property if you think it will be what you are looking for in a lease.

Also...in regards to dove south of the DFW area... If you want big time dove hunting...going to west TX is ideal. I have only had a few decent dove hunts south of DFW but again...it all just depends on the day and the property.

Or you could pay an arm and a leg and shoot up the local birds in Frisco with the Range Rover crowd

I called 3Curl the other day. Turns out that Charles graduated High School with my daughter and both of them were in band. Unfortunately, they only do dove day hunts on opening weekend. I am heading to West Central Missouri for opening weekend to hunt with family.

Hunted a 3 Curl DOVE lease last year for the first time. For the price and proximity(45min from Plano), it was a great deal. I never came close to limiting, but I'm one that just likes to get out and if I shoot a few then great. I hunted during the week as well and though I only went 4-5 times I was always the only one in the field. I wanted to join again this year to take my boy out but it either filled up or they lost the land. I would definitly refer anyone looking for a decent place to hunt. Oh, and I called/emailed/texted Charles numerous times with questions and suggestions and he was more than helpful and always responded to me which I really, really liked.

Thank you guys for the kind words. Brett and I work very hard to try and make the best hunting experience for everyone that comes out with us. Triggerbowtx and beaversnipe I'll agree with you if you want to burn up your barrel and really get on the dove you need to go west. We do have some dove leases out in Abilene that hold tons of birds. We also provide dove leases in North Texas but it is North Texas dove hunting. If you scout your fields and watch the migration we provide ideal habitat for leases and you will have the opportunity to hit limits throughout the season but for the most part we provide a place less than 30 minutes from home for you to come out in the afternoon shoot a handful of dove and be home by dinner. We are not out to get anyone and would rather under promise and over perform than the opposite.

Good luck to everyone out in the field this week. If anyone has any questions please feel free to shoot me a PM or give me a call. I'll help you out the best we can.
