I have been wanting to get my open carry license for a while. I know there have been some changes but what all fees are included in getting the license.

After the new fee rate becomes effective (Sept 1 usually) $45.00 To the state. Your instructor can charge what ever they want for the course in this aria it runs $50.00 - $100.00 You have to have your finger prints taken digitally. I do not know what the fee is on that now. That gets you 4 years, after that it is $45.00 for 5 years.
Guns, ammo, holsters... up to you.
Thank You Robert

You will need a passport photo ~$15 at Sams Club as I remember * fingerprints $15-25, I got mine done at local ISD instructors fee $50 ... about 6 yrs ago plus the state fee... check the web site as there were and may still be discounts based on age, military service, former leo, etc
* when I renewed they used my DL photo from on file so they may not need the passport photo anymore...best to check

It is now a licens to carry (LTC), rather than the old Conciled Carry licens. LTC is all you need in TX.
Thank You Robert
