My father in law owns 600 acres... said I could hunt it... it is a long drive... worth my time?

600 acres, free, yes, I would hunt it.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Depending on the cover and draw for deer, it may be a lot of real estate with not much deer density, but could be a gem in the rough too...hard to say and you would only know that once you get out there.
Just remember, Oklahoma has some quirky hunting laws and seasons so plan wisely.

I do a waterfowl hunting trip to the area most years. Seen some really nice bucks on the NWR a few miles west of Clinton and I know some decent bucks have been killed farther west on Black Kettle. But there is a lot of barren open land out there too. Since it would be free plus cost of license for you I would think it worth it for you to drive out there one weekend now to at least look at it. Is your Father from there? I have old family roots from that whole area, Spradlins, Hardins, Musics, Marples.
