We run a dozen feeders. And the lease is a long darn way away, with no stores within at least an hour from the front gate. We have solar on each feeder, but don't know how old the panels are. I just like to put new ones in at the beginning of the season and we're slowly culling junk and trying to get a system down of keeping back up batteries charged. I bought a slew of 12v last year from Batteries Plus.

Any better deals out there?

Tag.

I run two 6 volts instead of one 12 and they seam to last longer.... I plan to replace all of my batteries in late September. I also put the date on them when I buy them with a paint pen.

I also run solar panels.

I buy mine at Brown Feed store in Lampasas, I don't recall price, but a bunch cheaper than Academy (like $8 for 6v & $12-13 for 12v) ... I run solar on about half of my feeders, but have 3-4 chargers at home that I keep spares charged. Always take several of both 6v & 12v & tester with me when I run to fill feeders (12x at 4 different ranches). The feeders without solar, I replace battery every trip and those aren't solar cause the coons ate the wires off the panels and I haven't gotten around to rewiring and putting panel inside the coon cage yet.
