Not too many animals out that way. Should be some pockets here and there. Good luck.

Sounds like a great deal. Should be some wallhangers hanging out on corps land. Feed plenty of corn.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

There are some monsters in there. I saw a huge ten point running along a joining fence line next to the CPS property last year during the rut. The numbers seem to be growing as I see more and more deer in that area.

Nathan.. Just do what you do.. Prep, make it enticing for deer to come in. Lots and Lots of trail cameras.. 40 acres should be easy to cover every aspect of that land to find out whats going on. Get some good minerals and attractants.. now is the time to draw them in.
Good luck!

That area is hunted mostly by resident folks who don't want to advertise. The area is building up so hunting there may be limited as new homes seem to be popping up frequently now. Most acreage is small just like you mentioned so people don't want bullets flying around so if you have a place to hunt that is a plus. Like mentioned, just feed the deer and don't expect a trophy behind every bush. Wait for the rut and if you keep the does in the area you'll see the big boys, it just takes patience. Just as a safety issue, make sure you are shooting in a direction that is safe, as in knowing what is beyond your feeder location, just sayin because I drive almost daily in that area!
