Hey, guys.

Do you know/have experience on the panel height to fence feeder off hogs so deer can jump in?

We are trying to decide if 34" panel is tall enough to prevent hogs from entering.

Thanks.

The standard hog panels are fine to keep hogs out, if you go to too high of panels you will have to cut down numerous areas for deer to jump in. Make sure make circular gives more support to panels with T post every 8 ft and tie off panels good.
Pigs get crazy if get caught inside, I have seen them jump over 4 foot high panels when shooting at them.
Cows are another subject.

Hogs can just fairly well when frightened, but I would normally worry more about them going under your fence than over it. A standard panel will do just fine if well reinforced to keep them from squeezing under it.

This hog cleared 4ft with a running start...

Otherwise, they climb pretty good when they want to, but I don't think too many will climb in...

Personally, I thinking 34" panels with a top strand of barbed wire would be good at 40"

I've seen feeder that are being dominated by hogs to the point deer stay away almost completely and regular hog panels were and still are plenty to keep the hogs out, I'd be more worried about them digging under if there are gaps than I would be them going over.

Gentlemen, thank you for your insight.

Google search also suggests 34" hog panels. A&M even did a research on this topic. Found 2 valuable links -

Regular 34 in panels are fine to keep them out. As demonstrated in that video hogs can still get over a fence. Y sort of climbing the panels. I've had that happen in a trap as well.
