It was good times. I will hopefully be better next time. My crappy factory gun didn't have any hiccups and I hit my targets just not in the points spot. All that matters is I beat Kyle

Scores are now posted overall and each stage. I need some practice, this was my first carbine match in 2 year since having kids.

What does the U stand for under class?
And I can't seem to figure out how to get the scores. Doesn't show I was registered for any matches. Is there a link you can share.

http://shootntsa.com/scores/2017/Carbine/August/index.html Just follow the link for the scores. The U is for unlimited class - they either marked you wrong or your gun was set up in someway that qualified differently. The carbine match doesn't score differently.

I've got a 1-6X SS on a 16" barrel, and hand loads. Would that rig hang at that match?

You need to know what your gun does from 20-200 yards
The majority ran a small optic which seemed to be the way to do it. 2x3" targets were probably smallest

A clay at 100 or 200 is going to be the smallest target of any match, that is always a bonus. A 10" steel target is used at 100 or 200 yards. There are usually head shots on a full size cardboard target at 50 yards also. The rest of the runs are up close and for speed - they can be simple body shots or 2 body plus 1 head. Typical match uses full size cardboard targets - they used cut down targets this time

I've never competed using a gas gun, and have never competed only to 200 yards. Bet it would be fun!

Jason, you would do great and love it. First Saturday of the month.
The hardest thing is to remember to keep the muzzle pointed at the "berm" all the time, not down or up. Contrary to what we have learned the last 60 years.
I cleaned the fist stage 100-200yd, but was DQ for heaving an extra round loaded in my mag. at end of stage, Then my gun malfunction cost me two more stages cuz I couldn't finish, so I zeroed out on them too. The rounds I did get on target were decent. I'll be back next match (October), Sept. dove hunting
yes, I'm embarrassed coming in DAL. so any excuse I can come up with I'll use
stand by for more

Glad I wasn't in your squad, I'd be the STAR in a bad way. on anther note your wife is so cute. I'm glad you bought her. maybe you could build her a 5-6# AR, she could shoot with you.
