I have a 2014 ram 2500 diesel and it's time to get some new rubber and I want to go up to 35x12.50s. I believe it's better to level it if I run 35s but thought I'd ask first. If I do has anyone had any bad issues with just using a spacer and getting it aligned or is it better to run the leveling kit that comes with the new shocks and coils?

I have a 12' 3500DRW and run that size tire. I just added the spacers and did an alignment with the new tires. Never had any issues.

No leveling kit? Just spacers on the duals?

i have an 05 and without the leveling kit 35's wouldn't work on mine. I did the coil and shocks kit. I also had to put blocks in the back due to the bro lean.

Yeah I'm just looking at a 2" lift so it doesn't have that "cali lean" and I pull a lot of gooseneck trailers so I don't want to get crazy

I did 35x11.50's and didn't have to change a thing. That extra inch is going to cost you.

You'll run 35's with a leveling kit just fine. Maybe some slight rub depending on offset of your rims. I would stay positive offset(+18 to be exact) if I were you though, no spacers unless you absolutely have to. Spacers aren't the best option. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-...o=35&page=7

Guess the topic should've been what's a good size I can run with out a leveling kit? I'm looking at a 295/70r18 with the fuel wheels that came on the truck that have some off set the tires on there now come out to be 11.6" wide and still stick out bout a 1/4-1/2"

Bilstein 5100s are adjustable from stock ride height to 2.25-2.5 inches and better than a spacer lift. The shocks are $100-$125 each and I am pleased with them on my Tundra.

https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery/178976/2014-ram-2500-fuel-assault-stock-stock Here a ram with the 295/70/18 setup on stock but he has a positive 20 offset with no rub. I'm guessing by the measurements you said its about a -12 to -18 offset if they stick out that much. Idk if it'll rub or not. Go to an offroad lift shop. Them guys deal with that stuff all the time. Even message these guys on this website online. they give you some insight.

Yeah I couldn't find it lol. Weren't supposed to call me out though lol. I put it off back then cause I bought a welding rig and kinda ran out of money to blow so now that I'm needing tires in the next couple of weeks I wanted to see what everyone was doing. Think it's 5100 blistein shocks just cause I need to do some front end work and 295/70r. I appreciate all the input

I seen discount tire direct had one of the generals on sale but I have not heard any good reviews so I'm hesitant.

If you want something that will last you forever on the road, get some hankook dynapro atm's. I have these now on my work truck f250. They are not the best offroad, but the times I got stuck was in super sloppy stuff that even mud tires wouldn't do me good. from july 2016 when I put them on and now I put probably 30,000 miles on them and the tread still looks intact. A good solid a/t tire

Following this - I have a 2012 RAM 2500, two-wheel drive. Not my best decision, but when I purchased new I decided not to go 4WD because I was buying specifically for towing heavy travel trailer longer distances with very little, if any, need for off-road. The truck has served me very well, but I do not like the looks of the lean. Too low in front. I still have the stock 17" rims, but did go with a more aggressive tread when originals were replaced.

I've sold the TT, but still pull trailers at times, mostly tractor and implements. Would like to raise the front a bit, maybe 2", but don't want to introduce problems with wear or ride. Is there a good solution?

If I were to do a leveling kit I'd go with the kit that comes with new springs and shocks and you'll get your lift that way. I'm not a huge fan of the cheaper 2 spacers they seem to make it ride worse and chew up tires quicker even with an allingment.

I do have a 2" leveling kit on the front, just added the disks. No problems yet with 100,000+ miles on it.

I've never researched lifting my Mega, but I don't know how using a spacer can change the ride unless you don't change the shocks and they are topping out, the spacer doesn't change the spring rate any. Kind of the same on the alignment... if the tires are aligned, don't know how they could scrub more? Not arguing, just asking.

On a Ram (solid front axle) it could change the caster a little, not the toe or camber.

Your axle will also shift towards the drivers side a bit unless a longer track bar is put in.

I have the same size tires on my stock wheels. I put a leveling kit on it and had the front end aligned and everything is great. Looks excellent and no rubbing. Be sure to buy a good quality steel leveling kit rather than one of the plastic kind.
