may go to the Texas Trophy Hunters show, a good reason to eat in Cowtown. We usually go to The Rail Head or Angelo's when it was at Will Rogers, Any suggestions around downtown ?

Rail Head and Angelo's still good?

Railhead is always good. The brisket tacos are fantastic. Coldest beer I've found as well.

After listening to a couple of friends hype about how good Angelos is we drove to Cowtown for lunch there.
Very disappointed, it was just okay.

I was there for dinner about two years ago....mediocre at best. Would have rather ate Rudy's bbq.

Heim is on Magnolia just south of the hospital. Their signature dish is their bacon burnt ends and Banana Pudding. Not as good as their food truck days, but still fantastic bbq.

I'll say Railhead as well. Great Q and never had a colder tap beer anywhere. Usually stay longer than I should.

And I'll agree with others about Angelo's. Used to be great up until maybe the mid-late '90s or so, but hasn't been nearly as good the last couple of times I went.

Gotta give Heim's a try.

Give Cousins BBQ a try. Next to Heim I can't think of anything else in Ft Worth that's worthy of consideration. The Railhead stays in business because of beer. Angelos went down the toilet years ago.

Texas Pit in Saginaw (smiley face sign) is really fantastic. Great ribs and seriously the best sides I've ever had. I prefer it over most places in DFW.

I second this. The owner managed Railhead prior to opening his own and it has beer just as cold! Good stuff!

Head across 380 coming from Frisco to South I 35 South headed towards Fort Worth exit FM 407, take a right and 407 BBQ is on the left about a block up. Plus it is a straight shot to the TTHE at the FTW Convention center.
