I think I'm gonna email this whole thread to ATN so they can see the lack of class and knowledge of their famous THF Pro Staffer.

If you do email/contact/call, you'll find it's probably a waste of your effort

Just sayin

In all fairness, I don't know who the guy is. I mostly just like to kill pigs and coyotes, and look at pictures of other people doing the same . I meant no disrespect to anybody. But I've been fortunate enough to be able to own a bunch of different equipment. My ATN experience was very similar to what was said in this thread . User error...... if the damn thing won't power up, there's a problem, and it ain't me...... I will never spend a penny of my money on their stuff, and recommend the same to everyone I've taken out . This stuff is high tech , they all have problems, own it, and make it right . Or don't and blame stupid users...... matters not to me , just don't want to see anybody else spend their money. Of the folks that I've hunted with in the last couple years, none have bought ATN to my knowledge. That's leaving a lot of money on the table.

The back story is JT has posted countless amateur vids of him accidentally shooting bucks he thought were does, gut shooting a doe on video and denying it, shooting animals that can't be positively IDed with thermal, and then asks for us to critique him but when we do all we hear is excuses and more excuses. He claims to be a Pro Staffer but definitely isn't a good example of a professional that I would want representing my product and then he comes on here and call one of the top NV and thermal professionals butthurt. So yeah thats why he gets no love or respect from many omniscience's this forum.

Ok that makes more sense I guess. I thought it was about ATN and how they run their operation. I just assumed he worked for them , that was pretty much like my short experience with them

I would expect nothing less from you....

The buck that I thought was a doe was my fault as it was my first time ever hunting so late in the year and I did not even think to check for dropped antlers... But I got lucky as I had a MLD buck tag which I burned on that as well. I learned from that and never tried to deny it. It was a great learning experience.

Which doe did I gut shot that I tried to deny? Please enlighten me on that video....

Also which animal have I shot that I cannot positively ID on Thermal? I would love to see that one as well...

Good thing you do not have a product then.. As the companies I represent are pretty happy with the sales that come from our viewers...

And there has to be some sort of back story to his "review" when so much of the information he provides is incorrect. Like the battery life ect. ATN is not perfect, but if there is someone who gets a defective product they stand behind their customer service and it gets replaced no questions.

Also I agree that ATN has some opportunities when it comes to their current manual, and that is something they are currently working on... Hence why myself and others have made detailed instructional videos to assist users in learning their optics.

Thanks for keeping the thread alive :-)

JT -

Don't ask for specifics on your video calamities:

A) I never recommend rewatching your content

B) It would be a major waste of time to attempt to show you the error of your ways

You quite simply don't get it and probably never will and that's ok, eventually ATN will make a decent product and then I'm sure you'll truly have happy customers, you'll improve as a hunter who can hit the target and see the target.

As for keeping your threads alive, well that's sort of not a good thing but I know a view is a view for a person like you - so I'm happy to keep this train wreck going...

I only watched this tool because I know people in the post. I find it interesting that it has been nothing but crickets from the great jackrabbit hunter. Lol. Yes I may be stirring the pot a little bit it's great entertainment. I have used all thermal from commercial to un-attainable and for this guy to say that ATN is the best just shows that's he has no idea.

Hey TXLawMan, It appears as though your list of pro/cons made it through ATN's R&D department despite being viewed by JT as "user error" and they are set to release a total redesign of the THOR scope.

I recalled this thread being the last good word on the Thor HD series of scopes.

Looking forward to your report on the new scope and whether it is a "game changer"!
