Did some testing of a node I found awhile ago Shot a decent group at 600 yards.
Had a painted target at 800 yards with 4 rounds left.
Forget the 800 yards, let's try 1100 yards. 2 for 2. Wanting to end on a good note, I shot the last two at 100 yards.
The 145s impressed me, but I was more impressed with the rifle. It's a savage 110 in a wooden stock. No bedding or action work. I paid 250 for it awhile back. It's a pre-accutrigger model so I add a rifle basix trigger.

The 145 ELD-X is one of the highest BC bullets offered in the .277" caliber. It would be a good one to play at long range. How big was the target at 1100 yards?

30 MOA at 3000 fps. Very nice! What powder are you running? That's a stout speed for the 145 grain. I am about to start really playing with this bullet and see what shoots really good with it.

I'm shooting 2980 fps out of a 22" barrel using H4831 and the 145 ELD-X. I was hammering an 8" steel at 700 with it, no problem. Here real soon I am going to go stretch it over a grand, I've just been busy lately and haven't had a chance. 145 ELD-X is the read deal in the 270 though.

Do you recall what weight of H4831 you used? Pretty sure it is 58.5, but would have to look at my data to double check.

I think I may try starting the load at 56 grains to see how that works in my rifle. Thanks!
