So sitting and watching The Open, I see something moving quick across the plowed wheat field. Its a smaller size yearling running for the cotton and a dang coyote right on its tail, the doe and other bigger yearling are close behind. I grabbed my.243 but they made it into the cotton(its about 2'to 3' tall) and all I can see is the head of the doe running back and forth. Anywho got in my truck to go have a look and I see two come out, but not the smaller one.Dam coyotes!!!!

Probably. Kill 'em all.

On my last lease, the landowner scolded me for shooting a coyote. Told me they ate baby pigs. I told him they ate baby deer too but he didn't believe me.

For those of you who love bobcats (I do too) I saw three different toms chasing whitetail fawns at our place last fall.

Bad timing of mother nature, yotes are having pups same time deer are fawning. Mother yote will kill one fawn per day for about 10-14 days. Study was done on our place by A&M, they set up camera's on a den and it showed one fawn per for almost 2 weeks. I shoot everyone I see, about to start trapping.

We had a coyote pair get in the HF several years ago. After a while we came to the conclusion that there was a predator problem because we had not seen a single black buck, axis, or fallow fawn. We had even lost a few young fallows that we found too late to determine cause of death. Amazingly we had some whitetail fawns live. Two days later we had snared our meat eaters after we found their hole under the fence. They are pretty easy to snare when you know exactly where they are going to be.
It has been about six years since we had a coyote, and I hope to never have another. I suppose a fox can get a new born. But like bobcats they will climb a fence before they bother trying to find a route under it, although I have snared many of them.

Killed this coyote on Ft Hood yesterday hope to pop a few more if I can.

Sapper go to Live Oak county and kill all of'em

My old place, one hunter quit hunting deer. He had us place our gut piles in various places around his blind. He turned into a coyote/pig killing machine.

This is why we quit feeding corn when the fawns are about to drop. Makes it too easy for predators to ambush them at feeders.

Every evening at my place in Dickens I hear at least 4 or 5 different packs howling around and in my property. Over the 5 years I've owned the place I've killed about 5 by chance encounters. Tried calling with electronic calls with no luck. I have had them come within 100 yds during turkey season using a turkey call. not close enough with the shotgun. Occasionally find fawn legs randomly around my place. I'm seeing too many does this year without fawns. Kinda concerned!!!!
