What’s the weight saved vs cost spent?

Just curiosity, did you consider an AR Performance barrell. I have a few friends that swear by them. Great looking set-up. 6.8 is the best way to go in an AR15 platform for hunting. Looks great.

Also replaced the Rock River buttstock for a Magpul, that trimmed 3oz. By the way, the Trijicon scope w/cable and rechargeable battery adds 49oz, that's a lot. That's why I tried to lighten it as much as possible. And all the parts removed were used to build another 6.8 w/an Apex XQ50 that weighs about the same but w/1.25" longer barrel. It will be used as a buddy gun and when I hunt in the thick.

Here's a pic of the second one, had to mount the battery high on the Apex, because of the side charger. Both guns use the Gibbz Billet side charger upper and lowers. My preferred choice over a rear charging handle, especially when suppressed.

I'd hunt with either one.
