Nice build. You better get that wired down though. High winds will knock that over and bust it up.

Don't think the common storm will budge this stand. I moved it there with a 100hp tractor with a front end loader, lets just say the tractor new very well it was carrying something. The base is treated 2x10's with 3/4'' treated plywood floor, walls and roof are 1/2'' treated plywood, I'm more worried about it sinking.

Have a pretty good friend who had a heavy blind blown over recently during some high straight line winds during a storm. IMO it's better to be safe then sorry. Only takes a metal picket and some wire on each leg to anchor it securely.

Nice one here. I'd still stake each leg down as previously suggested.

There is a mobile home parts place on hwy 10 near Euless across from Bell Helicopter that has mobile home anchors. I use the cross stakes version that works well on n rocky soil. Get some red poly tubing to run the steel cables through.
Guarantee our storms will take that beauty out if you don't tie it down.

I have 4 others just like except not treated wood but painted, never been anchored and been out for five years. None ever were harmed from strong wind.

You just haven't had a strong enough wind blow on them yet.......... I've lived and hunted here all my life and eventually it will blow that over if you wait long enough. That design is like a big sail. After all the work you put into them, why not spend 30 minutes driving some t-posts and wire them down? Is proving your right worth losing such a nice blind?

Hey Sapper, teach me how fo do a link!!! Anyway here is a pic of what I used.
copy the link you want (ctrl C) and then click on the icon next to the smiley (emoji) icon that looks like a blue ball with a chain link across the bottom, a box will pop up where you can paste (ctrl V) the link into, then type in what you want to call it.
