Does anyone know of the cost to have this full 20 hour service done? The local Kawasaki place was saying it was about $700.... WOW!! Are they way off on this price or is that the going rate?

Read your service manual and do it yourself. It is not rocket science.

Sounds high to me. The price on the Gator was a little over a hundred dollars. I never had it done.

Dealers were saying 3-400$ and each place was different. The one in Waco was cheaper than the one in Denton.

I'd wait until a hundred hours. I think I did, then changed the oil myself.

dang too high. If you can't do yourself then find a good independent. Where are you located, I found a great guy recommended by others here on THF for utv work that is Lewisville that has done some atv work for me.

All that's due at 20 hours is an oil change. Heck no I'd spend $700 let alone $100.

They told me it was $600. I laughed at them and did it myself for under $55.

Had mine done at 20 hours. I did some calling around and a lot of folks were quoting $350 plus. Found the cheapest at Broadway Power sports in Tyler. It ended up being around $180.

That's still a ripoff compared to getting a five quart oil change on your vehicle.

There's more to it than just an oil change if it's your first service. My ranger is due for its first service and they change every fluid on it.

I spoke to service manager face to face and this is what I got:

Wait on the 20 hour until about 35 hrs and then do the both the 20 and 50 hour at one time. All fluids, filters, and any needed adjustments for $300. I asked about the price I was quoted and he laughed!! Said the sales people have lost their minds...

That's kind of like the Dodge dealer that told me I needed to change the spark plugs on my Power Wagon at 25k miles. I told him if that truck needed the plugs changed that soon, they could just keep it. I do most of all the servicing to my vehicles, myself.

Oh,They wanted $800 to change the plugs on it!

First service (20hrs) was around $150. I would never pay over $300 for a service.

I bought mine in San Antonio and they said do it at 25 hours and they would charge $325. I took it to the dealership in Hondo and they did everything for $240.

Just had it done on my new 2016 Kawasaki Teryx UTV. Waited until around 30 hours. Did it at the dealership, because they give a 30% off discount on your first service. They do change every fluid and inspect everything. Adjust to factory standards if necessary. Came to $180 and after the discount they charged me $123. After this, I will all the servicing myself.

service is over rated. got a 2006 kawasaki mule at the ranch and just got around to changing the oil in it the other day for the first time.
did the filters and checked the diffs, so you can say its first service was at about 10 years
