I'll be in College Station in September for a conference for a couple days. What's out there I should check?

Couple I liked when I was working there; JCodys and Sodalaks. You can go to Dixie Chic for scenery and hamburgers.

What are you wanting? Expensive, moderate, cheap? Steaks, BBQ, Tex-Mex?

Really depends on where you are staying at. You don't have to go far for good food in that town. There are good places in just about every part of town.

I'm gonna be down there for a water conference I haven't gotten all the details yet. But I'm sure we'll want to do Mexican, steaks, and I've heard about the Dixie Chicken but never been there

For steaks, The Republic is the best place in town. Probably best to get reservations no matter what day. Casa Rodriguez in downtown Bryan has decent hole in the wall Tex-Mex. A lot of the decent chain Tex-Mex places are there like Abuelo's, Chuy's. On the Border, etc..

Stop in the Chicken for a longneck if you have never been there. They have pretty good burgers, too. It will be full of college students in September. Koppe Bridge has really good burgers along with CFS and some BBQ.

Papa Perez downtown is good too, along with Fargos bbq. Plenty of good places to eat. J Codys is also a favorite and Dixie Chicken. There Tijuana fries are great.
